The growth and improvement of corrupt practices requires new ways of acting by the State, to guarantee the fundamental right to the protection of administrative probity with effectiveness. As a strategy to overcome the difficulties in punishing the perpetrators of corruption crimes and acts of improbity and by encouraging the international community, Brazil has been improving its legislation aimed at combating corruption, which, given its multidisciplinary nature, is currently recognized as a microsystem of fighting corruption. Among the most significant changes is the sedimentation of consensus, applied in all spheres of state action, with its own instruments in the criminal, civil and administrative sanctioning fields, but which can and should be used in a harmonious and complementary way.
