Abstract

This paper points out to the necessity of the Environmental Criminal Law as a legitimate instrument for the environment preservation and the criminal liability of the legal person as an inevitable way to do so. This paper aims to show the urgency of the environmental agenda and the necessity to rethink the relation of our society with its environment, as well as
to highlight the current lack of means in the criminal law for the legal entity to be held accountable.
