Human Rights And Vulnerable Victims: Repairing the damage caused by crime in situations of sexual, domestic violence and femicide

Abstract

Criminal law plays an important role in the protection of human rights, especially when we are dealing with vulnerable victims. The criminal typification of violating conducts (of the rights to life, physical and sexual integrity) is only a first step, which must be associated with an efficient investigation and prosecution that ensures, in the end, a criminal punishment with a minimum reparation to the damage suffered by the victim.
